Best ways to clean a K&N panel filter?

   Hey all.............
   
   I've had my K&N filter in for about a year and just realised it was probs time to give it a spruce up.
   
   How do I clean it and what to use for best results?

   you can buy K&N filter cleaning oil from halfords etc, only costs about £10 and there's enough to be able to use it over and over many times.

   just go on the website (k&n) and get the rechared kit comes with oil and cleaning spray works a dream

   If I get the oil etc, do I need to wash the filter in hot soapy water first, then coat with oil?
