thinking of this is it hard to do?

how do i open my bonnet?

    do they attach by hinges

i have seen one with bonnet pins does this mean anyone can get in my engine bay if i leave my car somewhere?

u open ure bonnet the same way still however there will be no safty catch to prevent the bonet from flying up and causing chaos and probable death of crashing into whatever you cant see.

id go for pins if you get it done or save the cash and just make it faster instead

you can get some fancy flush fit locking bonnet pins, or you can do what iv done and only have the bonnet pins as the secondry catch, therefore still having your bonnet locked at all times
