back plastic boot cover (inside)

    hi all,

just wondering as i am planning a boot build in summer, i want to get rid of as much vibrating plastic noise as possible. I have de-wipered and taken my 3rd brake light out too, the only thing left is the bit that surrounds the inside of the boot.

What can i do to minimise the noise coming from it ??

taken it off looks odd as the boot lock is unveiled, any ideas?

    Silicone it on??

Just an idea, not sure if it will work. Should do though.

    nissan primera clips

    foam tape round the edges

use sticky pads on the numberplate rather than screws

sound proof the lid with sound deadening and expanding foam/loft insulation

foam tape from most diy shops mate

clips bcause they a strongr and have foam pads to stop rattling, i have them on all my iterior panels now and they stopped a lotof rattles

best thing you can do though is to stuff the lid and sound deaden it

ive got a full boot build in my vts!! and this plastic cover doesnt really vibrate, i made fiberglass covers for the two holes in the boot lid so that the sound didnt get lost in them!!lol!!
