   wot sort of sandpaper do i want 4 sanding alloys down??????

   You need to buy a sanding set for a drill, Using sandpaper would take Days!!

   not necessarily. it depends what condition they are in. you only need to key the surface if you want to paint them.
   
   you will need a range of grades. maybe start with something around 180 grit if you need to do any small repairs and work your way upto about 1200 grit before you paint them, with a couple of steps inbetween.

   i agree with this, i did mne myself with sandpaper, didnt take long.
