hi hope im in the rite bit! how do i get my car to go faster someone told me to put an air filter on it but wont this drain the petrol? is there any other way

what car do you have? air filter doesn't affect mpg, constantly flooring it will. You have many options from minor breathing mods to full on throttle bodies or turbo/supercharging. Have a little search aof the engine section for ideas mate.

ohhh rite i have a vtr but im rubbish at all this mechanical stuff lol dont no a thing about engine mods

basic breathing mods is the place to start - induction kit, maniold and full exhaust system with decat (cat will have to back on for MOT). Or you could save for a vts/vts engine conversion/faster car.

+15BHP Power Mod/Chip one of these??? or waste of money?

completely. avoid. stick to what i've said above, spend a while looking through old threads in the engine section for ideas/hints and tips

induction kit like sean said, alot of people first mods add little performace make your car sound nice depending on the one you get, aim for enclosed raceland with green filter this depends on budget tho bud

ohhh rite thank u for the replies :d

induction kits are a waste of money IMO. lets face it any gains you get will be minimal and your much better spening your money on full exhaust system, manifold etc.

Also the cheapest mod is to stip to the car out. less weight is the way forward

induction kits are not fully pointless though
but a good panel filter can do a similar job

breathing mods are a good place to start though
(they make it sound nice too lol)
