brakes question

   ok i recently had an accident and as a result im pretty sure i need new rear discs and pads
   but i have a set of standard front brakes (calipers and all)
   and was thinking could i put them on the back??
   
   ive got the big wilwoods up front and have been thinking about uprating the rears for a while
   
   just a money saving idea really but also could be quite cool to have vented rear discs lol

   Not sure mate, i really cant see it as the fronts are quite abit bigger and aint gunna line up. The fixings points will be in different places so maybe with modification it could be done but couldnt really say whats involved.
   
   Maybe offer them up to the rear and see but as far as im aware there quite abit different.

   Don't think it'll work, handbrake is part of the rear caliper

   there are bigger rear brake conversions available from cituning

   tbh i would bother uprating them they dont do much of the braking, have you bedded in the pads and discs yet as your supposed to leave them for a good 500 miles id say before an really start using them, also did you put 5.1 fluid in??

   i know they dont do much but mine are nackered now
   so was just wondering if i could save some cash like
   
   yea the front pads are bedded in quite well had about 600 miles
   and yea 5.1 fluid ftw lol

   no point in upgrading rear brakes at all
   
   discs are gona cost you around 15 each i reckon for rear standard discs, and pads around 15 again, not much cash at all

   yea i know there cheap
   but im pretty broke atm
   so was trying to think of something free i could do lol
   and being as my old fronts were lying around made me wonder
   
   but looks like ill be buying new discs and pads

   how do you know they are fucked? i cant see how a accident would halm pads or were they just low?

    so the discs sitting crooked in the caliper
    which has fucked everythig lol

    the best fluid's you can get are all in dot 4 now Alex. You wont need bigger rear brakes. Standards are fine.
