Car Trouble Plz Help!

  1. #1
Hi to all the members on the forum, basically I'm a new member to the forum and have recently bought a '98' VTS.
The problem I have is that when i change gear from 1st to 2nd I can feel something loose underneath the car when i let the clutch up and it makes a slight knocking sound, it dosn't seem to do it in any other gear but 2nd - also when i go over bumps i can hear it too. Has anybody ever had this trouble? or know what it could be?

Any help would be appreciated Thanks!

If it does it when going over bumps it's more likely to be suspension related, wishbone balljoint(s) or similar perhaps.

Yeah cause when i had mk4 golf I had to get new wishbones fitted and looking back it was similar to this with the gear changing etc. I guess the only way to really find out is to book in at a garage and see what they say. Thanks for all your help guys I'll get back to you and soon as i find out.
