port and polished throttle body

    i have a 99 vtr, got a 4-2-1 manifold, supersprint centre section, piperx viper induction kit and its fully stripped out also got a quickshift to go on. looking to get more speed and better throttle response. heard alot about port and polished throttle bodies but have read alot of mixed views. was wondering if anyone has any proof they work or not? or just views wether its worth it or not? maybe some more ideas other than drop a vts lump in it. would be tempted to get a vts gearbox though

    cams?? i heard port and polished does sweet FA so i wouldnt bother

    Cant speak from experience but Ive read and heard that the best thing after breather mods to get more power is cams and pulleys

    ive heard that they make minimal difference
    but with cams ect you may see a better response on the throttle

    imo the little bits like that are only nessecary if your really trying to squeeze every ounce of power out of the engine

    apparently they improve throttle responce and add a couple of bhp in some cases depends where its done ect.. not going on experiacne, just what me mate told me it did to his

    I've been looking into a port and polished TB too. Found it hard to find any reviews though. Found these in the thread for the port and polish service:

    I was advised too get port and polished TB after i got my remap as it would make the car more responsive and add a few BHP. Dunno if this is true or not tho. i have never heard anyone say anything bad about them tho.

    from experience on a mates car there is no difference really just a waist of time doing it yourself
