okay then so had a go at my torsion bar today, and the torx is completley rounded off, i rang a freind he said weld it.

Im thinking of just leaving it because heres the situation.

Its a 1.0l so im gettin a new car in a year another saxo so im thinking jusr leave it unless theres an easy way to lower it ??

Did you round it off or was it already rounded off, if it was already rounded off then possibilities that its seized, if you rounded it off did you use a decent torx bit to try and get it out.

I started to round my off and then bought a decent titanium bit that fitted perfect and came straight out.

If its going to be hassle and is totally buggered then sparco_tom said, just leave it be and wait till you get your next car

we just about rounded the 'hard to get at' torx bolt on the passenger side, we used a flat head screwdriver and a hammer to knock it round kind of like hammer and chizel method then replaced with a different bolt

Lol, thats the worst one for sure, hardest bit being is actually getting to it lol.

Might as well wear a blind fold trying to get at that one.

Get a decent sized round punch and flatten the done ( to reduce the size of the star) , then get a decent t40 torx and tap it back into the dome bit . Then have a go at removing it
