your going to put a 172 engine out of a clio into a saxo?

    WHY???????

cost wourl be pretty massive like over 4 or 5 thousand

various reasins really. i really like the idea of a sleeper. im sick of changing the clutch as often as i am. last time was because the shaft seal went and leaked oil onto the plate. before that a few splines on the basket bent inwards.
ive thought about doing a z cars conversion but im looking at around 10 grand for that. i know ill get cained for insurance, tax ect but not as much as somthing like a skyline.
the electrics like wiring loom shouldnt be a problem as an auto electrician mate owes me a favour from the work i done on his bike.
theres a few other reasons as well which would be eliminated with a conversion.

tbh mate for the hassle it would make imo it wouldnt be worth it and you might aswell just buy a 172/182.

    you would need the following

    custom mounts
    custom drive shafts
    custom hubs
    gear linkages
    wiring sorting

will the engine actually fit in the engine bay, height and width wise?

all that plus youd be looking at some problems with the exhauts
i beileve a 172 the main is at the back???saw 1 with bodies and they were at the front so its the othere way round to a saxo

so you need a custom system plus im not sure there would be clearance against the bulkhead

and youd need gearbox mounts ect and tbh it would end up getting out of hand

would probably be easier to make it rwd wit something like that as the amount of fabrication required would be the same
