#2You need some 60mm springs for the front and adjust the torsion bar for the rear.
-
#3wot bout shocks? all i need in springs?
-
#4Well you can lower the front with just springs.
With 60mm some people up-rate the shocks too but I'm not 100% sure why (something to do with parts wearing out IIRC) so wait for other members to post up the answer. -
#5ok cheers
-
#6If you dont uprate your shocks your standard shocks will ware very quickly and the ride / handling wont b that great. Iv always been told any more than 35mm then do the shocks.
I may be totally wrong tho. -
#7i just brought some 60mm lowering springs lol, how much is it to get them fitted i dont want the tosion bar done yet
-
#8You need shocks as well, if you go down 60 on standard shocks then good luck. They will wear out pretty quick i'd imagine as they're not designed for that, and the ride will be absolute hell.
Check price of a local garage, and you have springs no shocks... and you're not doing the torsion bar to match??Quote:i just brought some 60mm lowering springs lol, how much is it to get them fitted i dont want the tosion bar done yet
Pics pls.

#9will be replacing the shocks sooon and how much would it be for both roughly
-
#10Why not wait to fit the springs until you do the rear to match, make sense mate tbh, will look pretty silly else and if driving it you will probably be looking at the floor whilst driving lol.
Springs are easy to do yourself mate, many people uprate the shocks going down 60mm cus it puts alot of stress on the standard shocks else.
I thought about leaving the standards in when i lowered mine 60mm but didnt want to strip it all down again if they failed quickly so just uprated them too.
If you dont want to uprate then check the condition of your shocks, if there clean and in good working order than you can just replace springs.
Torsion bar can be done yourself if your mechanically minded so have a look at a few of the threads and see if its upto your ability and may save you a few pounds too

#11Yeh its not too big of a job, i suggest coilovers, theyre expensive but effective and the tortion bar shouldnt be that difficult unless it is seized
-
#12im guna foner manic motors, woteva needs doing they can replace the lot in need to.cheers
