Dumpvalves

Is it possible to fit a dump valve to my saxo, its a basic vtr. I heared it can be done to any engine
  2. #2
    you need a turbo.............

you can get a fake gay kit tho
  3. #3
    u need a turbo

u can get them fake dump valves which is basically a speaker that makes the sound, but i wudnt get 1 like, ...

Tbh mate i wouldn't some guy has one fitted to some old, shit, black Honda which goes around town... he just gets mocks because he has done virtually nothing to the engine.

Unless you're going to turbo it etc. just don't
  5. #5
Dont see the point to be honest. Most people will know that you haven't got a turbo.

no way am i going for a fake on. Says on this site that you can fit one to any engine. On the section about turbos

    Just shout

    "PSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

every time you release the throttle....

ive heard its possible, my cousin back home in the east say you attach it to the air intake somewhere but the downside is that it starves the engine of oxygen while most of it is going to the dump valve, therefore pick up from standstill is shite. tbh i didnt really listen to him too much but apparently the answer is yes.

TBH mate it would be a bit of a waste of money, which you could be using to spend on other mods

you need a turbo mate, and peugeot ecosse owners diane and matt were discussing with me fitting a dumpvalve to a standard turbo spec engine is like taking off out a junction in 3rd gear, complete pointless unless its setup and running higher boost!!

lol, that would do the trick - get a megaphone hooked up to your car so people can hear it a town away!

    "PSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Pedestrian - "Wow that guy has a turbo"
    Pedestrian2 - "I'd tap that"

On a more serious note, think you can do it without having speakers/turbo... just not sure how, either way will still be pointless unless it's actually turbo'd in all fairness

haha they actully do. sound very ghey tbh only chavs would have them

If you don't drive a Turbo car then don't bother, just looks stupid. A local lad drives a Glanza with dump-valve but thats a genuine turbo and is pushing some nice power, so it suits it. On a small n/a hatch, people will just laugh as you do by.

TBH the car says it all,
as if the carzone kit and the really well done 2tone paintjob don't make it stand out enough

Yea you can fit one to any car, a proper one too. But the pressure wont be high enough to actually ever hear it take a dump, and theres no need for it anyway. But a simple answe is yes you can fit a dump valve to a NA lump
  18. #18
You can fit a dump valve to any engine mate, but without the turbo it wont really be doing anything and you wont hear it all since theres no preassure built up!

So without a phatboi terbo! its pointless!
  19. #19
    Ben beat me to it...
  20. #20
the answer is No! standard saxo vtr's dont produce the same amount of pressure as a turbo engine would do.reason it goes PHSSSSSSSSSSST is to release the pressure and if you aint got the pressue there in the first place you aint gonna get no PHHHSSSSSST!

your better off buying a cd with a dump valve noise on and have your system on full blast hahahaha.

you can fit them tho to a standard engine if your ghey enought that is.

if you want it to sound like a dump valve and not got a turbo use air horm compressor if you want to fit one
  22. #22
    of course you can

but I fitted everything else to lol
