Glossy black VTR wheels..

    Did mine..

Started last night when I got in from work about 6pm.. after rubbing down and masking up.. I finally managed to get primer down by 10:30, 2 good coats.

Up this morning at 6am.. and gave wheels a quick going over with 1500.. and then added my 2 good coats of gloss black..

    Just took a photo..

Once I get in tonight at 6, I'll go and add a couple of good clear coats.. and then fitting the wheels on the weekend once laquer has a good chance to harden..

    Cheers

Look really good mate, nice to see your taking your time between coats too as alot of people dont bother and wonder why it ends up crap lol.

Look nice and shiny at the mo so once lacquer is on there going to look mint.

Do as many coats of lacquer as you can mate to give them extra protection

I havent laquered them yet. That is just the colour. Going to use a 1k aerosol laquer, want it to be strong as cellulose isnt that hard and wheels generally get a beating with stone chips and general road crap..

Not my first time.. about an hours wet rubbing down on each wheel after de-greasing and washing.. then properly dried using heaters and air compressor.. masked up and then heated my garage up and then warmed up the alloy with a hot air gun.. stuck cans of paint in the sink in the kitchen sitting in warm water, when everything is warm paint sticks better, cold paint and cold metal gives an awful finish.. then started painting.. Primer last night, colour this morning, and clear coat tonight..
