Engine start on wheel

Alrite - had a look and cant see anything really relating to this so here goes. I am after a Sparco steering wheel with the two buttons either side of the centre (pm me if u know of one) My grand plan was to have a engine start button , now its grander - incorperate the button with one of the two buttons on the wheel. Question - would it work? would i have to buy the whole richbrook kit or are there just the wiring kit without the button? (had a quick search but couldnt really find owt) Second part of the plan is to then have the horn on the remaining button rather than the stalk (mates hand is far to close to the stalk for my liking) again - is this gna be a shit hard job (im not particularily practiced at electronics)

Give me both tips and also feedback as to weather i am just gna look like a c**t.

    Cheers

You mean the Momo wheel? I'm sure I've seen Sparco ones but reckon the Momo ones look much better!

I reckon it would be an easy enough job. You will just need to wire it in the same way but make sure you have enough wire to wrap around when on full lock.

Would be even better if you had to press both to fire up, just wire the buttons in series

You can get the press start kits off ebay i think, you'd just have to mod the switch to fit the wheel really. Not to much of a job!

I'd get bored of the gimmik eventually like!

As someone said once before, why have an engine start button, when if you turn the key once more the car will start. But I guess some people like it.

As already said, just buy the wiring kit and instead of wiring it to the push button. Just modify (add more cable) so it reaches the steering wheel switch.

yeah ya missing summit lol you can start it with the button but the keys need to be turned to the ignition before you do it

ah rite mate .. was gna say u may as well just have a fricking big sign saying "easy steal" if it was the way i thought. It was just when u said about only the button will start it. Where did u get the kit from and would it be sensible to just buy the cheapest kit going with the wiring coz i only want the wiring really.
