NOS on my vtr

   Im thinking of gettin a NOS kit for my vtr and running a 35hp setup to give 135 bhp in total, basicaly just want peoples oppinions on it, is it a good idea lol

   wild idea, if ur gonna do it do it but most ppl post stuff like this after a brain wave. NOS in a saxo aint easy

   been speakin to exup racing and apparently should be fine as long as i run less than a 50bhp shot, why is it hard on a saxo????

   In my opinion its pointless, Nitrous is stupidly exspensive and if you consider the ammount of cash you will use to fill the bottle up (once a week probably if you want more power all the time!), you may as well modify your engine to produce 135bhp.

   how much to get it all setup and then the cost of nos?
   
   surely a vts engine and cam it would be better to start and cheaper and mod from there?

   it can damage ur engine aswell if something goes wrong! were would u use nos on public roads? u hit it at the wrong time and its off to the nearest lampots for u!

   dont do it!
   
   if your car has any sort of hairline crack in the head the nos will find it (as its a weak spot) may not cause a huge problem without nos but as soon as nitrious oxide goes into the system the engine will run at a higher temp and higher pressure thus making that hairline crack even more weaker and then you can say bye bye to your engine! only run NOS if your car is seriously 100% fit and has the right setup before even putting in NOS.
   
   and as said above may aswell get a turbo or something least that way your car will always run around 135bhp and not having to re fill all the time.Nos is mainly for 1/4 strips and nothing else really.
   
   but I guess people have watched ot much fast n furious lol

   I ran 50bhp jets on my 120bhp vtr for about 6 months. Not a single problem.
   
   Do your homework on it before you bother though.
   
   Its expensive but its fun.

    Its perfectly fine for use on 99% of healthy cars.

    howmuch is it to refill a bottle???
    i had a nos kit i bought for my mini moto. it used whiping cream gas bottles (nos) lolol
    fukin mental on a minimoto. dunno if id put it in my vtr tho. it soon fuked my minimoto.

    Me and my m8 installed a 50hp progressive set-up on his gti6 and we did not have a problem once for the whole six months but as above the refills aint cheap

    k thanks, is that the same with tyres? ive just put VTR wheels on ym furio will it make my insurance void if i crash?

    I say go for it mate.
    
    If you get it set up correctly, and as you say, use moderate sized jets then you will be fine, and the engine will be fine.
    
    People instantly think NO2 will wreck your car, but thats simply not the case.
    
    It doesnt make the car rev any higher, it just revs up quicker and may run a bit hotter and a bit richer, but its safe to use on any car.
    
    The only downside, as said, is the cost of the refills.
    
    You could get a nitrous kit fully fitted for about £600-£700. Cheaper than putting a vts lump in, and more power in a way.

    I got quoted £600 for a VTS Lump suplied and fitted!! Would rather go for that TBH!!
    But NOS does sound good
