MOT Idle spped fail?? What??

Hi, if anyone can help i have an MOT failure today on my idle speed amoust other things and wonder what he's on about, the idle speed was recorded too HIGH but i've noticed that sometimes ''NOT VERY OFTEN'' when i'm in traffic jams it has cut out because its too LOW if i did what the testing station said and had it altered lower it wouldn't start would it?
I know it's not too high but there it is in black and white
one things for sure im getting a re-test somewhere else

just clean your idle control valve mate.. its a common prblem.. loads of people have idle problems just the valve is dirty

if not get a new one.. shouldnt cost much from ebay
