Lambda sensor wiring query

    A bit lost.
    The lambda has a pair of thicker wires, presumably for the heater element, one white one brown. Which is live an which is earth? usually white would be switched live but i'm not sure.
    Then there's the signal which is one large cable with screening, one red and one green wire, which is signal and which is signal earth? in theory red would be signal and green earth.

    shouldn't make a difference the polarity for the heater element Al.... although the signal one aint gotz a clue.

    Red is your signal wire.

    And yes the polarity of the heater does make a difference as the ECU takes the earth side of the heater to earth to switch it on, i.e. if you get them the wrong way round the heater will not come on.

    Cheers for confirming that Ross. Cos it's from a 3 plugger and i don't have the original looms or diagrams i thought i'd check.

    A mate has sent me a pdf of a 3 plug vts loom wiring diagram from citroen if you want it?

    I will investigate the wiring diagram and see if i can work out what wire is for what on the heater side

    alex i need a copy of that pdf!! i need to know on that loom you were stuck on which ones the oil temp sensor, and oil level sensor, plus petrol gauge, if they go there!!

    have you sent them fookin cam covers yet?!

    Cunt you know of anyone that goes by the surname of Hall then?

    The wiring diagrams are 190pages long for 3 pluggers, covers ALL 2001 and newer saxo wiring looms. we've only scanned the relevant pages for what i needed, and i don't have a scanner, but will try and get him to scan it all lol
