    they were for a reason mate.

    so postage will be about £7 each way so thats £14 there plus what you want for doing them plus the cahrge for unfitting and refitting (if you cant do it yourself) then what are you going to do with your car when it hasnt got any discs on it?

    the words "burns and crashes" come to mind

    discs skimming isnt unusual to me tbh, seems to be more done on more expensive brake discs tbh though

    seen them done on a ferrari on the garage on discovery before and the discs were brand new but the way the pads sat they were too smally and made a lip on the disc so sent them away for skimming before putting thm back on with the right pads

    Skimming it a cheap cure for brake judder caused by run-out on the disks. Better than getting a new set if you still have plenty of juice left on you disks!

    if your brake discs are say £200 then i can see the benefits but you can get a new set of saxo discs for £20-30 so there so no point in skimming at all
