De cat on Mark 2 VTR??

   I went to online Autosport to get a de-cat centre pipe and was told that it won't fit my vehicle as my Cat is just after my manifold.

   to de cat a mk2 mate ul need a new manifold..
   
   dont know of any other ways to do it
   
   a 4-2-1 would be your best bet
   
   a guy in the for sale section is doing the raceland one cheap

   to decat your VTR you will need a aftermarket manifold, decat for under the car will fit if you have an cat back exhaust system. however it won't actually decat it

   What year is your Vtr? How many plugs does the ecu have?
   Its the 01+ (3 plug ecu 98bhp) that have the cat in the manifold, so can only be de catted with a swop of manifold!

   yer mines the 2001 model which has 3 plug ecu just wanted it to sound better aswell!
   
   any links or recomendations for a good back box which will make it sound better and lil more bhp??

   depends what sound you want
   
   a magnex will gove a rally type sound when you give it some welly
   
   but a jap can will make a deep roar all the time (annoying and chavvy imo) and look pooo
