   hi guys, well ive got a rival posi blue VTR a few streets away. n ive seen him speedin around the streets, just wonderin if i did some performance mods would i be abel to keep up to him, doesnt sound like hees had owt done to his, just a massive chavy exhaust lol.
   or will it be manny, exhaust, enclose induction. remap etc befor i can contend ?

   no im not askin how to get the most out of my car, im askin what stage do i need 2 be at to keep up.

   fitting a manifold exhaust and filter wont get you near vtr speed mate
   
   wouldnt know what cams would leave you with, but if you were going to get cams and a remap then you would be better just sticking a vtr engine in...

    some lad in the year below me has an unmodified VTR and i manage to keep up with him to about 60
    mind you hes not the best driver, changing to second at about 4000 revs

    youd probably have to spend 500quid or more on mods to get it to 98bhp,and thats if hes is standard.
    best get a 16v conversion and piss all over him?
