If the rear cant be lowered.........

   well yeah!!!
   stevenet from here tried to lower my car couple of months back say around jan kinda time!
   
   and have got some1 trying again 2night!!! if this time it still can not be done what are my options to have the rear lowered!!!
   
   annoying having the front down 40mm and the rear standard just looks silly and starting to get to me!!!
   
   would it be a whole new rear axle?

   yeah new beam if you really can get it out, although some kind of engineing frim may be able to help

   grime and rust can make it a bugger to remove the torsion bars. You can drive them out but you have to be really careful that you dont disturb the trailing arm bearings

   i had over 5 places do it. cant be done. how much you gonna lower yours? mines eized at 40mm and im gonna sell it. got a new axle for mself so when i change it its up for sale let me know

   Depends where you are but Im 99% sure either Des Developments in the West Mids
   or Pug1off could do it (Banbury)

   modified i live near aylesbury mate/u can take my axle 50 quid. lowered 40 all round

   drop the axle down and really get tasty with big hammers

   i had to heat my torsion bars up with an oxy acceltalene torch and whack them with a sledge for over 20mins
   
   
   no joke
   
   but i had my whole axle off the car and was replacing the axle bearings as well so was easier to get the torsion bars out
