Miles achieved on full tank with following mods?

    Afternoon all,

Do you guys think this is running a bit rich with the following mods or about right?

    I have the following mods:

    Green enclosed induction kit
    Raceland 4-2-1 manifold
    Magnex decat
    Magnex cat-back system

    Rough miles achieved:

If driving very sensibly and keeping the revs down i can manage about 280miles on £40

Currently on the half a tank line and at 138 miles.

    Is this about norm?

    Cheers,
    Dave

I just made a thread on SSC today:

    Quote:
Well a bit of a strange one.

I have now owned my car since 2002/2003 for the first 2 years of owning my car it was totally standard engine wise and I could always only get 300 to a tank of petrol. I then fitted a cat-back exhaust system & that didn't change thing still only 300 miles to a tank. But since fitting my de-cat pipe about a month ago I have now been able to get over 50 miles more to a tank.

Seems strange to me. What could cause this, surely it should get worse not better?

    Discuss!

Before mods was getting 350, i guess 70 mile drop would seem about right in the scheme of things, i mean i have to drive barely hitting above 2.5k revs to get 280, anymore and dropping down to mid 200's.

Also i suppose the increase in prices makes more a difference than you would think.
