4 point harnesses

#1

#2dont know about mot but safety wise its a death certificate m8.. save and get some buckets... stanard seats arent designed to take the strain in a crash.. as thers no pretensioners and so on the seat breaks and al sorts.. just dont crash and will be fine lol
-
#3i dont plan on crashing lol. im only asking cos my mot has expired an my seatbelt tensioners stoped working(one problem after another)
-
#4dont know if will pass m8. if pretensioner broke is ur airbag light not on
?
-
#5no its not on
-
#6to pass the mot the belts need to be E marked and be bolted to suitable points. What points have you bolted the harnesses to??
-
#7yea if u do it 2 rear points should be ok for mot.. but i wouldnt because of the safety issue llol.. plus surely the shoulder straps would just fall off ur shoulders? unles u put them under the headrest.. then its even more unsafe lol...
-
#8to the original fittings
-
#9if its the original points you'll be fine then because they're obvioulsy already suitable for belts. i've got a 3 point harness with normal seats and i've passed my mot twice. but they HAVE to be E marked.
-
#10arent most E marked.. sabelt, sparco etc are bound 2 be surely?
-
#11ive just checked an there e approved
-
#12hu r urs made by cos i might get some lol?
-
#13Most are yes but you can get cheap ones off ebay that aren't and i dont think 5 and 6 point harnesses are E marked even if they're official names. Mine are Sparco.
-
#14there called securon. shitty name i no but its all could afford
-
#16£80 for two. im temped
-
#17i just had a look at securon and they look descent. i'm not a prick so wouldn't steal u money for the sake of it lol so if ur happy wit ur belts then stick wit em. i paid £120 for mine partly for the name and partly cause i got sparco buckets. if u just want harnesses and names dont matter then keep wot you got mate
