160 BHP Yaris, we can’t stand for this!!

   Alright Guys,
   
   My lil mummy's boy never worked a day of his life waste of space mate (i do like hime really) passed his test last week and has been GIVEN an import Yaris Running 160... and only paying 600 Fully com as a new driver!!!
   
   I really need your guys help, ive been reading some of your posts bout cams and head work. and need to get mine running as close to 160 as possible (the higher the better)..
   
   I saw some where someone mention getting a port and polished head for 700! who said that!!
   
   Plus what cams are the best!!
   
   Also chips (not with salt and vinger)
   
   I know you guys get posts like this all the time but i would be grateful for any help.
   
   There is no way i am getting beating by a shopping basket on wheels!

   As for getting your VTS to 160.
   First off lets start.. Have you got any engine mods at all on yours as of yet ?
   
   This is what I'd do:
   Full GMC BTB exhaust system + decat
   GMC 4-2-1 manifold, with exhaust wrap.
   Enclosed induction kit (BMC/Green/procomp)
   Then get onto cams (either Piper or Kent)
   Then get a dastek unichip, or get original ECU remapped to work with all of the above mods and you wil be well away!

   or dig deep and get some forced induction and have 160 at the wheels and absolutely destroy him.

   Mild tech manifold
   Pipercross Viper
   
   I'm looking at Cams and the Unichip as you suggested!!
   
   Since the last post I have spoken to CITUNING and my mouth is watering at the bolt on Turbo for 2500 Squids.
   
   What you think bout it, anyone had dealings with them??
   
   Distroying him sounds good scott !
   
   Also has anyone got sponsorship from local companies for work on there car? how did you go about it!!

   the place is called powerzone for head and cams,they say it will give extra 50 gee gees.i think the price has now come down to £550,well worth it

   first off, I'd suggest changing the Viper to something like BMC/Green enclosed as these are better for cold air intake compared to the Viper.
   
   Take a look into the 'Carworx' turbo Conv as these are very good apparantly.
   Slightly more expensive than the Cituning one.
   I think the one you got quoted on was the one WITHOUT the fifth injector and water cooler etc?

   POWER BOOST VALVE
   KENT CAMS AND HEAD FROM POWERZONE
   THE HEAD AND CAMS COST ME £600 PLUS A FURTHER
   £150 FOR UPRATED HEAD BOLTS AND HEAD GASKET SET
   WHICH U WILL NEED!
   THE HEAD AND CAMS DOESNT!!!!! GIVE U 50BHP EXTRA
   I HAD 138BHP B4 I GOT THE MANIFOLD, HEAD AND CAMS
   AND RE-MAPPED THE ECU!
   IVE HAD IT SET UP AFEW TIMES BY REGAL MOTORSPORT
   SO REALLY ONLY GAINED 27BHP AFTER SPENDING BOUT £1500!!!

    maybe look into lightening & balancing the fly wheel also!
    
    BHP is all good but to "distroy him" youll need to torque the torque as well as walk the walk! forced induction is the way to go for big gains.... turbo the dam thing with all the extras as mentioned above job done...

    seriously tho, y pay that much modding a saxo engine wen u cud get an evo4/5 at a decent price and uv already fucked him up the arse (metaphor)! - better standard engine, and bodywork
    
    and if u start moaning about affording insurance - think about how much ur insurance company will hate u putting a honking big turbo in ur tiny wee car!ur better off with a car with 1 in it already
    
    dont get me wrong - id love a turbo in my sax, but to b honest theres no way id pay 4grand upwards for it! thats just silly

    on one hand i'd say buy a decent sapphire cosworth for around 4-5 grand and whip him. but on the other hand i can appreciate how much you can get attatched to your car and want to keep it. i reckon a turbo'd/s'charged sax would be wicked fun and tbh if i had 5grand lying around i'd supercharge my wee saxo coz i've spent tyoo much time and money getting it the way i want it to just sell it now.

    Think i might have got a local company interested in giving me a bit of cash!! So hopefully I ain't gonna have to put my hand to far into my pocket!!

    get urself a honda crx vtec... they r well quick! my m8s got one, there only 1.6 engines but they f**kin rip! he just put a new lump in it and is 200+ bhp. that much power in a crx is crazy, they weigh almost the same as a go kart
