Saxo and GTI leather seats

   Right then..
   
   I got my Saxo a little while back in a standard state with normal seats (obviously). As soon as I got it home, put some Sparco sprint buckets straight in. On the drive from the garage to my house, my head rubbed on the ceiling with the standard seats. I'm 6'4'' so obviously, quite big. I now am sick of buckets and harnesses and am considering going for some 106 GTI leather seats.
   
   What I want to know is, are these the same height as the standard saxo seats? If so has anyone found a way to drop the seats down lower.
   
   Any help appreciated as i'm abit clueless about the leathers..

   i think they are the same mate, find someone with a set or sit in a 106 gti and try them

   same height because they sit on the same subframes.

   i have gti lether in and yer there the same height mate
   
   they are a lot more comfortable tho

   you could mabi modify the subframes to make it a few mil lower

    you don't want to be doing this because the subframes are what which keep the seats inside the car in event of a crash.

    people make custom subframes all the time for buckets so if the pre tensioner is still attached and the sub frames fitted correctly should be orite in a crash

    ive always thought that the gti leather is slightly lower than the vts interior, felt like it when i changed over

    I've always thought that my Air Bagged GTi leather seems like I sit lower than the Air Bagged VTS standard seats.

    The GTI leather is definitely lower than the mark1 VTR seats.

    yeah when i got outa my saxo and got in my brothers 106 gti i felt like i fell to the floor! there 106 gti seats seem to go down kinda thing!

    did anyone find this out if it is true? because i have the same problem im to tall hehehe
    need to also lower the seat.
