i have used the search a smuch as i can but i really want to know if i can fit the rallye inlet and throttle body to my westcoast and what is needed for the ecu to be done because i heard you need something doin to the ecu?
when fitting a rallye inlet and throttle body

#2think you can bolt it on....
but its a right cock and ball ache im told. -
#3join the rallye reg and see there
-
#4was looking to do this myself mate, but it is a bit of a pain, you may have a few problems, setting can be an issue as it uses a stepper motor, where as saxo's use ICV. (depending on which model/year etc)
-
#5oh right
does it make a notisable differance in power?
-
#6um, dont think it would be massive, might see a slight improvement in throttle response. Its a Larger volume than standard inlet, alloy rather than plastic so less likely to break, it also has a larger throttle body, so you'd get better flow.

#7im basicaly just after improveing the acceleration on my west cost mainly and im a newbie to saxos what else can i do to get fast aceleration
-
#8Dont know if its relevant but they only fit on the early style MPI MA engines. Not the late MPI or early SPI or carb.
-
#9what mods can make me westcoast quicker on acceleration
-
#10Individual throttle bodies, Wilder cam with map, Turbocharger, Supercharger, N20, Fitting any of the more powerful MA engines or a combination.

Someone mention Rallye inlet?
Correct. However, i don't need a stepper motor / idle control valve so don't have the hassle of that. And the remap to suit the new TPS positions took all of 60 seconds and £0 thanks to the standalone and a laptop.Quote:but its a right cock and ball ache im told.
Physically - the hardest part about it was swapping over the throttle cable and drilling a hole in the inlet to pass the injector wiring through. But wouldn't have attempted it if i didn't have standalone.
