1.3 rallye engine

  1. #1
thinking of buying a 1.3 rallye engine for my y reg 1.1 saxo but it has no gear box with just wondered if it will fit my saxo one? also could i use my saxo airbox? how much would somwere charge to fit it? and would it make a bid differance?
    thanx

Think they are in the region of 100bhp so yea, quite a substancial difference over your 1.1. Try and find a gear box as they are awesome. Super high final drive. Will acelerate like the clappers.

Dont think the airbox will fit but i imagine it could be bodged on. Spend a few quid on a decent air filter and jobs agooden

1.3 rallye engine quite powerfull, more then the saxo 1.4 i think.

    it will go in
    your gearbox will go on
your airbox wont fit will need a proper rallye one
it would make a difference over a 1.1 yes.
how much would it be to fit?depends on who you get it done by,probs 600ish quid i dunno.

600 is quite alot to fit an engine init? would my exhaust fit? also is it carb or injection?
  5. #5
yeah the exhaust will fit not sure if the manifold is the same tho, its injection, think the 1300 also has a fuel return pipe so you would need to plumb one in.

the 1.3 rallye is a fantastic engine, you have to rev the nuts off it and it loves it, and is more powerful than a 1.6 vtr
  6. #6
ive got one and its fantastic fun! planning to drop it in my vtr soon
  7. #7
dont do that, sell it me cheap lol,
are they ohc? single? and what valve?
  8. #8
1.3 rallye is 8 valve, & Single cam.
  9. #9
fast road cam as standard i think
  10. #10
100 brake aswell. The engine and manifolds are of a much better design than other lumps like the 1.4 8v, the intake manifold on the 1.4 is stupidly restrictive for some reason

they sound like a gd engine, think ill defo get one when i get some more cash, no one on ere got one?
  12. #12
or just get a vts engine?

  14. #14
