ECU query....

   Im buying a VTS engine from my mate that has low mileage and is from a 2001 VTS. The engine is going to be dropped into a 2002 VTR, but the problem is he says that the engine from the VTS has a single plug ECU, where as i have a 3 plug ECU. I was thinking instead of having to change all the wiring loom can i simply buy an unlocked ecu for a 3 plug vts and use that without having any other problems hoping that this will be all i need for the engine to work. Any advise would be helpful guys! Thanks.

   To fit a 3 plug engine into a single plug car and vice versa requires re-wiring of the engine loom.
   
   I suggest you find a 3 plug engine, its quite a pain to re wire but do-able
