Hey guys, within the next few months im planning on modding my lil sax vtr 98bhp model, hears a few of my plans...

Koni adjustables on Prima Racing Springs
    GMC 4-1 Manifold
    Decat Pipe
Milltek Viper SS Duplex or Devil (or your opinions on best)
    Green Cotton enclosed Filter

Ive heard this will make my saxo keep up with standard vts's at least! wot u guys think? n wot bhp u reckon she'll be running as an estimate?

    the gmc manifold has decat

havent heard that many good things about koni adjustables, better off with bilstein or just fixed koni's

backbox wont make much of a difference to bhp, but a duplex wil b heavier - hence slow u down a bit

you'll b lucky if your running the same as a vts, after an ecu remap u shud b quite close tho

also if your after performance, it mite b worth while getting rid of any useless things in your car to lighten the load...

    i.e ice,rear seats etc

forget the koni's, get Avo adjustables, just got them on my car and had them on a few of my old cars- can't fault them.
to keep up with a standard vts you'll need:-
enclosed filter, gmc manifold with decat, exhaust, cam, and ecu remap. you could also change the 'box for a 106 rallye 'box, as this has shorter ratios for quicker acceleration
i've said this before, but unless you plan on taking your vtr lump pretty far eg forced induction, the best way to keep up with a vts is to stick a vts lump in! it'd probably work out cheaper anyway, and you've got 120bhp to start with.

as seanvtr said mate youl need at least cam and chip plus headwok to keep up with a vts.mines the 98bhp engine with 4-1 manifold, cat, full piper system and k+n and a vts still leaves me standing.definatly go for an enclosed induction kit.cituning are doing a turbo for the vtr for £2,500 with free fitting which is well good and it adds about 40bhp,thatl beat a vts,and more.

no wonder urs want keep up with a vts m8 ur running 17's! slow u down bigtime! e.g acceleration

yeah do slow you down but not loads.a vtr will never keep up with a vts unless you do massive engine work.i,e; turbo.all that money your spending to try make it as quick as a vts you m,ight as well buy one.

17s dont make it that slow, higher top end tho!
