  1. #1
can you paint the standard rocker cover yourself ?
if so, whats the best way of going about it ?
  2. #2
    yep. High temp paint matey.
  3. #3
you can,you can buy that heat resistant paint.e-techs break calliper paint says it can be used in engines and folia tec do a high tempreture lacquer set for engines.not sure on the finish.could always geta carbon fibre cover or alloy.

do you have to prepare the surface with the hear resistant paint ? i'm guessing you at least have to degrease it ?
  5. #5
yes. definitely degrease it , and I think sand with fine sandpaper aswell.
  6. #6
yes you can but it will take a while.will need to get every litlle bit of crap off it.get the heat resistant paint for it.or buy the covers for it
  7. #7
Could get it powder coated by a pro maybe. Not sure how heat resistant it would be though.
  8. #8
powder coating wont come off i would not think, i mean it has to be baked in a red hot oven for it to set in the first place, so i dont think engine heat would effect it
