Best option would be to change the rear window for one with the holes drilled into it for a mk2 spoiler!

However, to stick it on I'd remove the foam pads and apply tiger seal to the base of the spoiler so that it has as large surface area to stick on to the glass!

yeah mate, i took them foam pads off too and stuck it on with tiger seal and its stuck on solid, only thing is i would reccomend black tigerseal, as you can see the seal through the rear window from inside.

oh, and its best to do it on a hot day, and use tape to hold it in place, because it will slide down the screen 1-2 cm

got black tiger seal and will use mascin(sp?)
tape to hold it in place that strong enough?
  11. #11
should be, thats what i used
  12. #12
yo steve, how did you get on with it mate?
  13. #13
im goin to do it this week some time if the fookin weather gets better, so t get this cleared up i rip off the black foam pads, and hold it into place with tape (will duct tape/gaffa tape) ruin the paint) and how do i tape it so it doesnt slide?

dont bond it to the back window :o i dont want to be the fitter changing ur rear glass

if u take the pads off n clue it on it should stick fine but if u can get your hands on some primer for the glue, u wont be gettin it off in a hurry

its on stuck fine and looks ace 24 hours later and i can safely say id be happy to jump on it the spoiler is not going anywhere anytime soon.

i stuck mine on today, looks quite good, i can slightly bend the middle if i push on it becuase its not bonded cos it sits slightly off the glass
