I have finally installed the rev counter in my 1.1.
Never had any probs!I used the Max power saxo book, and recommend it strongly!

what exactly is the purpose of a rev counter could somone fill me in?

count the amount of revolutions that the engine/ancillaries makes.
Higher the revolutions the faster you get in each gear.
Older spec 1.1's didnt have a rev counter, which meant listening harder to your egine screaming when a gear change is required!

did you get the tech wire in the plug on the passanger side or was it at the back of the clocks?

i had to get the wire from the passenger side and feed it through. This was a good opporunity for me to get new dials too!
