106 tailgate

   Gonna put a 106 tailgate on my sax. Parts list is
   
   106 tailgate
   106 lights
   
   Will I need owt else like seals or hinges?

   will the lights sit right? coz the body is a different shape..
   
   ive seen it done, but dont know how much work was involved

   you will also need to adjust the locking point. that doesnt line up

   You will need a new rear slam panel mate off a 106 to do the job properly. Thats mean cutting your old one out and welding a 106 one in.
   
   You can also do it by altering the catches (raise it up on the car). It sometimes looks a little off though .

   As said above really. Slam pannel is need to get it to sit right

   So the boot catch and lights sit in the right palce so everything lines up correct

   Also saxo lights have one pin that goes into the car (ie the bit you unscrew the nut off to get the lights off) and pug ones have two

    I prefer the 106 boots but aye, unless your really trying to go for something special its not worth the trouble in my books. Best of luck to you trying though if you go ahead.
