Smotthing MK2 Bonnet?

   How do i go about doing this? Is it fiberglass it and then body filler it with sanding in between any help appreciated

   think its a steel plate welded in then filler sanded and smoothed i think. Try PMing saxo180 he used to have one.

   Metal plate, then fibreglass and filler. Just filler will crack so you'll need to get the rough shape with fg first

   jus get a fibreglass one that has no grill. cheaper, lighter and no worries with cracking

    you remove the clip so when you pull the catch in your car you can just lift it up

    id weld a plate in first mate get that as close to the shape as you can, and use minimal amount of fiberglass and filler to get the desired shape, the less filler the less chance you have of it cracking when you drop the bonnet, plus wit the catch you can fab your own with a piece of bar so it can be reached. will get some pics up tomoz sometime.
