any problems!?!? standard vts 2000 by 40mm - all garages say dont, everyone does... so is there anyting to watch out for...

    from dumbass!!!

they are only saying 'dont do it' as they say it will affect standard vehicle build/handling.
But if anything, 40mm will make the handling alot better and no worse.

i would go for it mate,it will make the car look alot better and handle better,my local garage told me not to lower the car cause they said it would spoil it,i have never come across any problems with mine in the 2 years it has been lowered

ive never had a problem and the handling is a million times better. looks miles better. u need it doing! garages say dont cos it could b a fuck on doin the torsion bar

jus wondering lads, ive been told that 40mm is the perfect drop to make the handling better but how low can you go before its slammed? i was looking at a 50mm drop but is this tooooo low or would the car still handle ok? im kinda new to saxos so ive got quite a bit to learn about them lol but any help that can be offered on this subject is much appreciated, by the way i drive a 51 plate vtr on standard alloys if it makes any difference between models

50mm will be fine mate its not that low. When you drop it 60mm+ is when you might have problems with speedbumps ect.

I recently bought a saxo vts (upgraded racing cams, vernier pullys, decat str8 thru scorpion) and mines lowered about 60mm rear with 106gti wheels and the ride is low as fuck. strangely enough it doesnt really get caught on bumps even at an okish speed. but the back is lower than the front. might increase ride height a little when my sounds go in otherwise theres gna be some trouble

yeah im down 70mm on the back and can go over speed bumps with a nearly full car fine. all about the speed you go over the bump tbh.

only advice i can give is make sure the garage doesnt lower the rear by splines/clicks/notches at it will ruin your bearings sharpish and i find garages love doing it that way. proper way is to remove the torsion bars completley

mines lowerd60 all round m8 but check the steering rack doesnt rub on the power steering pipe otherwise ul have problems like i have good luck

just do 40mm up front then tell them to level the back prob be about 50-60 on back
