Pinking

   Hi
   
   I'm new to Sax-p. I've got a unmodded 2001 VTR that I love. I've noticed that it pinks a lot, eg when accelerating from lowish revs in 2nd/3rd/4th. I'm using Shell unleaded at the moment - would changing to Optimax help or is there anything else I should try/be worried about?

   decent fuel helps mate
   
   stuf that mite make ur saxo generally a little healthier...change of coilpack, filters - oil & fuel etc, injector cleaner like Redex occasionally...

   also, check your cooling system. it may be that your temp switch is faulty, and although your temp gauge is reading cool, the collant may be boiling, which would cause pinking.
