central locking and clock not working

   my central locking and clock have stop working today?
   
   first of where is the wires for the central locking and clock?
   second anyone know how to fix it??
   it on a mk1 vts

   Go through the fuses 1st with a test probe.

   check the fuse you will find it as blown

   the fuse number is f8

   I know this an old thread now, but my wife's car has now developed a problem locking. Normally, you would lock it the the key in the drivers door, and it would lock all the other doors, but now it seems to be dead. I have checked the fuses (F8 etc) and everything else works, inc interior light, clock, windows etcs, but no C/L
   Amy help would be great

   Test the drivers side central locking unit then to rule that out.

   Swap the locking unit over to the non working side,if it works then there's your problem mate.
