   Port and polished is basically increasing the size of the inlet and outlet wholes on the cylinder head(porting) generally, polishing is making them smooth, all in all resulting in the gasses flowing faster and smoother.

   A good cylinder head has a lot more done to it then a port and polish so don’t be fool and get a cheap ported head as there not worth the cash. The ones you see on ebay all the time are a good example of a head you really do not want.
