Standard torsion bar width anyone?

    I seem to have in the back of my mind that the vtr/vts comes with standard torsion bar(s) of width 19mm but then thought i heard somewhere they were 21mm standard? But then looking on ebay there is 21mm "uprated" torsion bars therefore suggesting that they are 19mm as standard if the 21mm is uprated.

    Just wondering as thinking of upgrading and dont want to get the same width again obviously, also does anyone know if my billie b8s will be ok with an uprated 21mm bars?

    the standards are 19mm.

    lol @ increasing rear end grip dramatically

    And those ones are going to me made slightly differently to the standard ones, if you knew how torsion bars were made you'd understand how a small difference in manufacturing can change the characteristics and quality of the bar. For a start they're spring steel, which if made incorrectly can snap due to stress, then the rate of them will be different to the peugeot sport ones, and then they weren't made with the original designs so might not be absolutely spot on for length and spline sizing etc.

    I personally having owned peugeot sport bars before, decided that it was worth the little bit extra knowing i'm buying a known quantity

    Yeh thats great cheers dude, although i didnt say i was going to buy that particular bar did i? I wasnt trying to "dis" the peugeot sport bars infact i dont believe i even mentioned them, my knowledge of this subject is CLEARLY less superior to yours mr alex however it was but a question I just sort of wanted to understand what diameter (as you say) they are.
