i got my toyo r888s from ebay for about 225 delivered. my sizes are 185/60/14 though. its lowered by 35mm but it only scrubs when the car is full and in driving 'spirited'. not too sure about 15's though.

195/50's may rub a little on full lock but not bad enough to worry about.

When ever I say this people take offence but I don’t see the point of these my self. If you are after having cheap fun then why not get a good cheap tuff tyre for track days? I say this as if you have your car set well and your driving it as it should be driven you would eat a set of semi slicks in half a day easily. My little 1360cc would eat a set of A008 in no time, I ended up with a tab at the tyre fitter and had 4 sets of wheels just to inshore I always had a set of boots. All in all pointless for a track day. If were on about taking spare sets with us then why not just go a full slick? They last longer and have more grip then a "road legal slick". Better still if you ask about you can pick up slightly used sets at great prices. Ages ago I was getting sets off a Toyota race car for free. You just have to ask about, most of the small teams will be more than happy to make some extra cash from selling what to them is useless items. But if you absolutely must have a road legal slick for whatever reason have a chat with one of the Avon tyre guys. They can be very helpful and can some times sort you out with something next to new at a super discount though generally tend to be of smaller diameter.

r888 are good and cheaper than a048's

ax racing, i agree to a degree but for me who doenst use my car that much but do trackday they are perfect. ive bought a second hand set that had done 1 trackday and i think they will last another 3 trackdays when driven properly also.
