what can i do to make my 1.4 faster :p

    i got a 1.4 westcoast running at about 86bhp rather than 75bhp. but i want to sell it and get summing bt more quicker and faster but i havent gt the heart to sell my westcoast , so just wondering if theres any thing i could do to make it more quicker ? ? without sellin it lol !

    You wouldn't miss it so much when you got yourself a vts.

    has pipercross airfilter and exhaust done to it !

    VTS engine is the most economical but not always insurance friendly.

    Strip it out, will make it more nippy in theory. If not there is a huge list.

    Manifold
    Cams etc.

    Also, remember that a good suspension and brake set up will help as well.

    yea someone said before bout getting the cams done, any1 no where i could get cams done round essex way ? was bhp does a vts run at then ?

    120bhp as standard.

    Cams on the 1.4 may take it to 105bhp... maybe? Still not as much as the vtr.

    There is a mango 1.4 on here with a throttle boddied vts lump. Awesome!

    yeah was on piston heads - still onit i think lol, ive had soo many phonecalls about it because its up for sale but finding it hard, i was looking into buyiong a golf mk4 gti but is it worth the hassle of getting a loan out nd put my self in a lil debt because of a car lol, yea think that mite be the best way to make it faster by dropping a vts lump in, but im not sure on where any place will do that as wen it come to the engine i stay well away frm it lol, how do i get my picture up of my car on this ? sorry if this soundfs like an essay lol

    £2000/2500 + a small bit of diy fitting should see you the parts for a new very basic turbo setup to your 1.4. It should make it see off any stock saxo. £500/1000 more and you will be seeing off even a VTS with fast road cams with throttle bodies and stand alone management.
