Has anybody tried these yet and if so, what is the quality like? handling etc.
Thinking of getting some............ Only £180

i've got them on my golf.

had them fitted for a few months now.

excellent value for money and improved the handling a lot. you can also go very low with them.

not sure what the handling will be like on a saxo though.

we got a few in for a couple of polo customers and we were a little disappoited. They were very very heavy compared to the more expensive kits and if you want ride quality.... hmmmmm.

You are better with some high quality non adustable dampers than you are with cheap coilovers.

no doubt about that. if its handling you want then a quality set of non adjustable dampers would be much better.

well to be honest its the solution to drop my car a bit more. im currently at 50mm and putting some 16s on which makes it look a bit higher and i plan to do some work to the arches so that i can lower it a bit more. so i will need coil overs.
Whats the lowest you guys reckon i can go wioth 16s on?

if you just want to go low (like i did) then these are ideal.

nothing else will let you go lower. however you will compromise the handling. although in my opinion my golf still handles well considering how low it is.

I'm very close to buying these just to go... on the floor. If you get them let me know how you find them, i'll do the same if I buy them first.

yeah.....agreed i think, im starting to have second thoughts and might save up that bit more for some quality kit so it doesnt wreck my car or need replacing in like 6 months. who knows though, they might be alright...... just seem ver cheap thats all which makes me think they could lack quality

like everything you pay for what you get but you also pay for a reputeable brand that has been tryed and tested. save and buy a better kit recommended by people on here then you know its going to do the job properly

I was going to purchase them but also had doubts, then spoke to kam and ofcourse was charmed into buying a kit off kam-racing, i'd suggest having a look at their site and consider their kits, many recommend them.

ive got a set of these and ill tell you now g-max, jamex, x-maxx and Hottuning Coilovers are all the same kit, altho dampers may vary not to sure on that tho cos they still look and have same part number.

the kit ive got to be fair i didnt use the shocks, i used spax non adjustable.

i 1st ran the kit right down and OMG it was the worst ride in the world. even with full lenght bump stops you have about 1/2inch of travel and its a solid metal to metal bang, its very very dangerous and no way usable.

i have now fitted a grp n top spring pan for there coilover kit. if you cut the top smaller section of the spring off itll fit inside the grp n item perfectly, as my shocks were shortened i was far from ever disslocating the spring. im not sure how a standard shock will do.

after id done this and used just one section of the bump stop its 100times better than it as. i seriously recommend it to anyone with this kit.
