   my gearknob and gaiter is all rubber ive got a new gearknob but do i need a special gaiter cos the ones ive looked at say not replacement for rubber???
   anyone help???????

   i kept my standard black gaiter when i changed my gear knob but that was in a vtr, if you've got those rubber gaitersfrom the 1.0/1.1 models then i would change it to a universal fit black gaiter for about £10 from halfords or motorworld cos it might just look a bit odd - but answer to your question i dont think it matters if you go from your rubber gaiter to a normal fabric type leather one

   elastic band or velcro should do the job
