Are your rear brakes discs or drums?
Can you post a pic of your engine bay?

it should be fairly obvious if its a furio or a vtr

if you have saxo on the door badges its a furio
if you have drums at the back its a furio

what the hell did you say to your insurance?

if you said it was a vtr to them and its a furio then you could be wasting a lot of money on insurance and tax when you dont need to

might be worth spending £50 and getting it 'rolling roaded' - the bhp figure you get should tell you whether you've got a 1.6 or a 1.4.

Then you can start to look for a cam - I'm not 100% about whether a 1.4 cam would fit a 1.6. If this is the case then you might not be bother about rolling roading it. But if you have a 1.4, your money might be better spent elsewhere, maybe an engine conversion, better suspension/brakes or just put the money away and buy a faster car in the future.

Just my 2p's. I had a 1.4, and didn't bother doing any serious mods like a cam, I saved up, and for similar money I put a 16v engine in it instead of caming it - so went from 75bhp to 120bhp for the same money as caming it. The only extra cost was insurance!

i think it is a furio 1.4 just lokked at log book that is what it says on there 1398 cc engine like so u reckon dropping a vts engine in would be better than camming it mate what would i need to do that obv engine but what else

The same performance camshaft will fit both the furio and the vtr
