What Engines Will Fit In A Saxo..?

  1. #1
I'm wanting my furio to be different/ unique, now i want something performance wise to do this...

Ignoring vtr and vts engines, what other engines would go into a 2002 furio with minimal work?
I don't have much money but i have access to some

I want something faster than the 1.4i i have now...

Any ideas? And what else would i have to change and make sure i get with the engine for it to a complete conversion?
    Cheers

but tbh i would just stick to a vts engine as tht will be the minimal work for the power, and just modify that engine to a better spec

well the standard vts gearbox will be good enough for a starting point. not sure about shafts tho. As for brakes i would definatly change them, but not to vts brakes. Something like 206gti or 306gti brakes as they have much better stopping power

but i'm a novice at this myself, im sure someone else will come along and tell you the in's and out's of what to do

mate you can fit anything it just depends how much money you have/willing to spend on it, and depending on your own abilities if you are doing it yourself

for a tight budget most will go for the vts conversion,

    engine
    gearbox
    mounts
    ecu (unlocked)
    wiring loom
    driveshafts
    fan setup ideally
    brakes

some people will also change the shocks and a vts rear beam too

Be different and put a gti-6 or an s16 in it!

160-180bhp straight out of the box so to speak!

Key words in first post "Mininal Work"
Git-6/S16 are not any easy job - lots of custom bits/mounts/work! Bigger Heavier engine......

    Yer, suppose! lol

Would be an awesome piece of kit though, with an easily obtainable 200bhp just from head work and a cam!

Has to be the VTS then really!
