    tacky number plate bolt lights...!
The ones I've got are the only MOT legal style ones and cost £40 all in from GSMotorsport.
Not the tacky £5 ones off ebay, which shine light outwards instead of on the lettering.

Can get them off another vehicle, like the Austin Montego had some funky flushed ones.

fuck-all wrong with the number plate light bolts, like Al said, as long as they're the proper ones.
That has to be the first time i've seen the words 'Austin Montego' on a modified car forum!

you can get the panel from a TVR which light up the whole number plate from behind, but they're dear as hell and you might find TVR won't sell you it if it's not for a TVR.

I got one free from TVR, lieing about somewhere at work.
Mate of a matey who works there brought one down to me.
All it is, is a clear 'webbed' effect number plate backing, which the light unit behind shines through.
Bit of a mission to fix to the rear bumper of a sax mind.
