Boot Smoothing/Removing badges

  1. #1
The first thing i noticed about the boot of my car is that the 'Citroen' and 'Saxo' badges had been broken off - resulting in these little 'stem' like things poking through my boot. I am going to smooth my boot so was just wondering how to remove these unsightly things lol. thanks in advance

from inside the tail gate you should be able to push them out.. then sand down.. cover with filler.. sand that down.. and paint

dont i have to weld a plate over the holes?

If your doing all the boot thats the best way. But you can get a fiberglass panel wat covers the lot

its not ideal to weld a plate over it

just use filler.. itll be fine mine is

Ignore the filler route. Just hold a small piece of steel the other side of the hole on the inside, then weld this in place. Then Use a small layer of filler over the hole and flat down.

If you use just filler after time with different types of weather conditions it can sink and may just fall out.
