weird sound when accelerating???

   was driving on the mway and only when accelerating over 50+ some times there is this loud noise sounds like a dieing sheep a deep barring sound
   
   dosnt do it at low speeds, any ideas what it could be?

   check your oil levels and coolant levels, mine made that sound yesterday when i was on m way it might not be the same but my headgasket is gone now but just worth the check

   Have you got a sheep trapped under the car?
   
   Go out and check, just in case.
   
   Does it sound like the noise is a rotational thing?

   lol no there is no sheep!
   the oil is on the low side, but its still within the limit, water is fine
   there is a slight leak of oil coming from the front seal, but im sure its been there a while now
   yes it does sound rotational
   
   have been driving round at slow speeds 30 / 40 and it hasnt made the sound, guess thats a good thing and just drive slow lol!

    it only does it when accelerating, as soon as i take my foot off it stops,
    if it was a wheel surley it would do it all the time

    mine makes a noise which resembles the noise u explained when my exhaust centre section vibrates on the heat shielding around the CAT and silencer. Might wanna check your exhaust isn't loose?

    think its just fixed itself now, as i havnt heard the sound again and tested on mway!
    will keep fingers crossed!
