camming vtr

  1. #1
right i have done a search btu didnt find any answers. i have had my vtr for a year now, have viper induction kit, 4-2-1 manifold, supersprint race section, quickshift, fully stripped out. am really looking to get more power from it as i cant afford a vts yet.
what is the best performance cam for a vtr. anything else i will need? prices altogether.

mate there are enough thread like yours on here somewhere

if not a simple list for you:
    piper 285 - 235
valve springs to match - 40
    vernier pulley - 120
remap on either std. ecu - 200-400
(or standalone if you intend on doing more to it like throttle bodying!!) - 1000

+ labour if your notdoing it yourself!!

did search but they all just say do a vts conversion. just cams and map should be good enough for another year until i can afford insurance on the vts.

I presume you are declaring these mods? It'd probably bump the premium up to vts level if you do.

i have piper 285's cost me about 800 to get it done and remapped, the car makes 122bhp on the rr that was on a hot day with only a open induction kit, ashley full system and with a standard mani with the cat in it.
