janspeed manifold fitted. engine light on!

  1. #1
after weeks of messin about i finally got all the bits to fit my janspeed manifold. its now on as of yesterday and within ten mins of putting it on an driving home from the garage the engine management light came on. the rac came out an got the diagnostics on it. oxygen sensor 1 falut code p0130 and fuel trim error code p0130. i av no idea y fittin the manifold has caused this problem as the car ran fine wiv the standard manifold? help or suggestions wud be massively appriciated.

Think them codes mean lambda matey....
I take it that the lambda is plumbed in etc

yea mate both the pre cat an the post cat sensors are in an connected up. i cant work out wot wud trigger it off coz its been runnin fine wiv my decat pipe and standard manifold for 3 months?

Get a lambda bung for the second sensor mate and bung the old hole up.
    Hopefully that should help...

^^ as said, the secnd lambda sensor will be reading errors as the emmissions will be too high due to their been no CAT. get a sleve for the second lambda sensor and bung the hole up in the manifold

you can get a sleeve from gmc motorsport website for about 12 quid thats wot I did to stop my engine light coming on.

as above the 2nd sensor is there to detect that the cat is working correctly. Now you don't have it on it thinks that there is a problem

Putting the sensor in a sleeve makes the sensor think its detecting nice clean air.. and therefore no warning light

cheers for ur help evryone. ive put an 18mm sump plug in the gap for the lambda sensor an tie wrapped the sensor well out of the way until i can get hold of one of these sleeves
